The land of Waoter (water) and Wiend (wind) is also called here. And when you walk out of the farm onto the dike and look around, you understand why this area has been given this nickname.
The Liemers was formed by water. Here the Rhine enters our country and divides the water between Waal, Nederrijn / Lek and the IJssel. It has always played an important role and still does. And there is still room…. Enough space to feel the wind whipping around your ears. Sometimes she is a gentle breeze that brings coolness on a hot day but sometimes she is so turbulent that you are almost blown off the dike. You can still really look away from you here and that (in part) makes this beautiful area really worth exploring.
When you think you can’t go any further and that you must have missed a turn, it’s still a little further up the dike. And soon, while driving along the dike, you see our beautiful monumental farm in the middle of the fields.
